Year 10 GCSE Drawing project - Mechanical Forms

Lesson 1

Choose a mechanical form from the box and draw it using black and white materials on a piece of sienna paper. Use charcoal, graphite stick, compressed charcoal and white chalk. Fill the sheet. Work for the whole lesson trying to include as much detail as possible..

Homework 1

Choose a mechanical utensil from the kitchen drawer (Tin opener, corkscrew etc) and draw it on the last page of your sketchbook. Use pencil, trying to include as much detail as possible.

Choose 2 or 3 mechanical forms from the box, arrange them in front of you and draw them on a piece of black paper using chalk pastels and white chalk. Fill the sheet. Work for the whole lesson trying to include as much detail as possible..

Choose 4 or 5 hand tools from the box, arrange them on a piece of white paper and then draw round them. take the tools away and then paint the outside space in black paint (leaving a white "silhouette") Fill the sheet. Secondly, do the same except this time on a sheet of black paper. Draw round the tools with white pencil and then fill in the toole shapes with white arcylic paint
