Year 11 Homework

Important dates letter:

Wk 25 -  Homework
Ensure you are ready for the 10- hour timed sessions in your ESA. Check the "Exam Ready"  sheet to make sure you have completed everything.

Wk 24 -  Homework
Over Easter continue develop your ideas for the MAIN PIECE, filling your sketchbook up to page 20. Practise the skills you plan to use. Check the "Exam Ready"  sheet to ensure you are confident.

Wk 23-  Homework - On page 17 continue develop your ideas for the MAIN PIECE. Ensure you practise some of the skills you plan to use. Have a look at Page 4 and Page 9 in the GCSE handbook 

Wk 22-  Homework - On page 16 make an Artist link study. Use a range of techniques with coloured materials, monochrome. Ensure you use dark tones.  This is due on Mon 20th Mar
Look at page 3, page 7 and page 8 in the GCSE handbook

Wk 21 -  Homework
On page 15 of your ESA sketchbook, make further studies, sketches & designs for your initial ideas for a Main Piece. Use a range of techniques with coloured materials, monochrome. Ensure you use dark tones.  These are due on Mon 13th Mar

Wk 20-  Homework
On page 14 of your ESA sketchbook, make studies and sketches & designs for your initial ideas for a Main Piece. Use a range of techniques and black and white, monochrome. Ensure you use dark tones.  These are due on Mon 6th Mar

Wk 17-  Homework
On page 8 of your ESA sketchbook, make a sheet of mixed media studies, linked to your chosen topic. Use a range of techniques. On page 9, make sketches, studies and designs for your first developed piece. These are due on Monday 6th Feb

 

Wk 18 -  Homework
On page 10 of your ESA sketchbook, make a sheet plans and sketches and designs for your second developed piece. Use a range of techniques. On page 11, make a study of a second artist linked to your theme. These are due on Monday 20th Feb. Over half term, catch up with any missing homework

 

Wk 19-  Homework
On pages 12 and 13 of your ESA sketchbook, make studies and sketches & designs for your third developed piece. Use a range of techniques. Ensure you use dark tones.  These are due on Monday 27th Feb. 

 

Wk16 -  Homework n page 6 of your ESA sketchbook, make a sheet of 12 drawings of objects linked to your chosen topic. On page 7 make an artist research page linked to your chosen theme. Select from the ones on the ESA paper of ask Mr Coultart in the lesson. These are due on Monday 3oth Jan

Wk15 -  Homework On p4 and 5 of your ESA sk etchbook, make a sheet of 30 colour exercises and another of 16 paper collages.  These are due on Monday 23rdJan
By this date you must have selected your chosen ESA theme

Wk14 -  Homework On page 2 and 3 of your ESA sketchbook, make a sheet of mark-making experiments and another of tonal exercises. See the examples on P6 of the GCSE handbook 
These are due on Monday 16th Jan

Wk13 -  Homework
Over Christmas, take ho
me your mock exam sketchbook. Ensure you have completed between 16 and 20 sides. Negotiate the work with Mr Coultart in the lesson on Monday period 2.
If you have done this, continue with any other coursework, looking at your Year 10 sketchbook.

Remember you must hand in everything you need marking at the end of the 5 hours on Tuesday. Main piece, initial studies, developed studies and sketchbook.

Wk6 - Over half term, on P7 & 8  of your sketchbook make some studies that map out the next stage of your development in your project and will guide larger work in class. Use a range of materials.

Wk5 - On P6  of your sketchbook make some studies that map out the next stage of your development in your project and will guide larger work in class. Negotiate your task with Mr Coultart in the lesson on Monday 

Week 4 - On P4 & 5  of your sketchbook make some sketches and studies that map out the next stage of your development in your project. Negotiate your task with Mr Coultart in the lesson on Friday

Week 3 on page 4 of your sketchbook, make a study of an artist appropriate to your EST theme.

Week 2
Take a piece of black paper. On it, make three studies appropriate to your chosen theme in the Mock EST project. Stick in your sketchbook on Page 3

Holiday work - Over the Summer, complete your "Me,Myself, I" Main Piece. The Main Piece should be at least 10 hours worth of work.  Bring the main piece in September.
Also study the Mock exam paper given out in June. We will go over the paper in September. Think about which starting point you would like to tackle. make some initial studies.
